The Raleigh Dog Spaw is a exclusive and very private boutique style grooming salon that offers

first class service to select clientele.

Our prices are based on a 4 to 6 week Spaw Schedule. Dogs that have gone further than 6 weeks may have excess build up of debris on their coat, excess dirt/mud/grime/ feces or urine build up/tangles/matting will be subject to additional charges. Keeping your pup on a 4 to 6 week schedule is industry standard. This standard prevents fecal matter and unwanted debris build up and keeps your pup from matting.  We strive to keep our clients in the best possible shape. Sticking to a schedule improves the quality of your pups coat and skin health. Preventing matting and making your pets experience so much better as well as your groomers.

Extra charges will apply for clients that choose not to rebook at the recommended date. 

Additional charges for dematting will apply for dogs with tangled or matted coats. We recommend brushing out your pups coat with a dematting rake, slicker brush and a comb. If you are unable to get a metal comb through the roots of your pups coat it is likely tangled. We charge 
$20 per 15 minutes of dematting.

Matting is harsh on your dogs skin. Matting is painful. Matting causes bacterial issues, circulation issues, and can cut off air flow to the skin. Tangles need to be cared for and matting needs to be removed to start fresh as soon as possible. Not only is matting harmful to your pet and can cause serious health issues including hematomas and broken blood vessels. Matting can cause severe itching, hair loss and thinning in spots of the hair. Dematting a dog is not easy. Groomers often compare dematting to shearing a sheep. Dematting is a long process. Dematting can ruin grooming tools and require replacements of tools. Dematting is a very tideous job and many grooming salons no longer offer this service. Many times owners are not aware of the severity of their dogs matting and often blame their groomers for skin irritations  that were caused by the matting. The Raleigh Dog Spaw does preform dematting services as long as the owner understands the risks, the health issues matting causes and the aftercare needs of their pup once we have done the dematting. The owner will agree to rebook there dog on a suggested schedule.

Behavior charges apply for dogs that have anxiety, or any difficulty with any portion of the groom. Behavior cases take special appointments and require more time to work through the fears or anxiety. We offer a Lavender Chamomile Spaw Package to help calm dogs and this is highly recommended.

No shows and cancelations 

please give a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancelations. This allows us the opportunity to fill the appointment spot. No shows will not be rebooked unless the owner pays a full non-refundable deposit which they will lose should they no show again. This fee can not be applied to another appointment.

Membership 

The Raleigh Dog Spaw Offers a Nail and Teeth Maintenance Package

Nail Buffing and Teeth Brushing $30.00 per month  for unlimited nail buffing and teeth brushing and 10% off of all grooms.
